1912 OLYMPIC GAMES Large format pictorial booklet issued after the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm with pictorial coverage of the Pentathlon and Decathlon , both won by Jim Thorpe (USA) who was of Indian descent. However Thorpe was stripped of both medals when it was revealed that he had been paid 25$ to play in Minor League baseball in 1910 and was thus classified as a professional. Neither of the two second placed athletes in these events would accept his medals. Thorpe died in 1953 and in 1983 he was pardoned and his medals were returned to his children. The booklet contains many pictures and stats of the 1912 Olympics. Good
