Sportingold are specialist auctioneers of Football Programmes, Football memorabilia and Sports memorabilia.  We hold up to eight quality football programme, football memorabilia and sporting memorabilia auctions per year at Northampton Rugby Club, with occasional Football Memorabilia auctions at other venues in addition.

We have grown to be one of the most successful Football Programme, Football Memorabilia and Sports Memorabilia auctioneers in the UK.  We take great pride in the efficiency of our auctions, purchased lots can generally be paid for and collected within seconds of the hammer falling.  We also pride ourselves on the excellent sale prices we achieve for vendors.  Because we specialise in Football Programmes and Football memorabilia we believe we have a depth of knowledge and experience unrivalled in the business.

Whilst we specialise in Football Programmes and Football Memorabilia, we also handle memorabilia from other sports, including rugby, cricket, boxing etc.

You can bid by person at the sale, by telephone, by leaving a commission bid or on-line.  Please note that on-line bidding can be affected by the quality of the Internet connection.  If you want a particular lot you may be advised to book a telephone bid.

Buying at Auction... There are many ways to buy at our Football Memorabilia and Sports memorabilia auctions.  * You can attend in person * Leave commission bids (by 7:00pm the evening before), * Bid by telephone * Bid on-line via www.the-salerooms.com. All email bids will be acknowledged unless received on the morning of the sale.  See notes below.... Buyers Premium is 16% + VAT. www.the-saleroom.com bidders premium is 19% + VAT. Sale start times vary but generally commence at 11:00 am and finish around 8:00pm. However, please check the Sale Catalogue page for exact start times for each sale. The auctioneer normally sells at between 180 and 200 lots per hour.  All purchases are made subject to our Terms and Conditions.

David Palmer, our popular auctioneer, is a leading freelance auctioneer,   Chris WIlliams, owner of Sportingold, has many years experience in the trade and assists David on the Rostrum. Valuation Service...

We offer a sports memorabilia valuation service either by private appointment or at many of the football and sports memorabilia fairs we attend throughout the country (see list on the left). If you require an 'Insurance Valuation', we will be happy to provide this for you at a fixed fee. Please contact us for more information.

NOTES!

• Requests for Telephone Bids must be made 24 hours in advance as we cannot guarantee availability on sale day.

• Email Commission Bids should be sent so as to be received by 7 pm the night before the sale.  We will do our best to process email bids received on sale day but cannot guarantee to do so due to work load and availability of the Internet.   

• Sale results will be uploaded periodically throughout the sale, depending on Internet connection.

• Where Sportingold dispatch items purchased at a sale to the purchaser, postage and packaging will be charged at the current applicable rates for all postal/carrier deliveries and a packing charge of £2 will be added to this cost for each package sent.  Lots mailed or sent by carrier to the purchaser are sent at the risk of the purchaser and Sportingold will not be responsible for any loss or damage in transit.
